These terms cover this website, the free trainings we run, the strategy calls we book, and the Her Tech Academy program. I have kept them in plain English on purpose. You are about to spend real money on a real change to your working life, and you should be able to read the agreement once and know exactly what you are getting and what you owe.
Her Tech Academy ("we", "us", "our") runs hertechacademy.com and the Her Tech Academy program. When you use this website, register for a training, book a call, or enroll in the program, you are agreeing to these terms.
If there is something in here you are not comfortable with, do not enroll. Email us and ask first. We would rather answer a question now than have you sign up unsure.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed, and continuing to use the site or the program after that date means the updated version applies to you.
You must be 18 or older to use this website, register for a training, book a call, or enroll in the program. If you are under 18, this is not for you yet.
When you use the site and our platforms, you agree to:
We can change, pause, or take down anything on this website at any time.
The Her Tech Academy program includes structured training modules, live coaching calls, a private student community, mentorship access, and placement support delivered with partner agencies that hire for the roles we train for. The exact components of your enrollment are confirmed with you before you enroll.
Placement support is help with the work of getting hired: resume positioning, application strategy, interview preparation, and introductions through our partners. Final hiring decisions are made by employers. Read our disclaimers before you enroll.
Your enrollment is personal and non-transferable. It is one seat for one person. You cannot give it away, sell it, or lend it, and you cannot share your login.
We can remove you from the program without a refund if you abuse our staff or another student, or if you share paid materials or your access with anyone outside the program. That is the whole list. We are not looking for reasons to remove anyone.
We may update module content, adjust the call schedule, and change the platforms we run on, as long as what you receive is equivalent to what you paid for.
All prices are in US dollars. Payment is due at enrollment unless you are on a payment plan. The price of the program, the plan amount, the number of payments, and the dates are confirmed with you and shown to you at checkout before you pay anything.
By starting a payment plan you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your card automatically on that schedule until the balance is paid. Keep your card details current.
If a payment fails, we will retry it and get in touch. Access to the program pauses while a payment is outstanding and comes back as soon as it clears.
A payment plan is a payment schedule, not a subscription. It is the same price split into installments. Once the 7 day refund window has closed, the remaining balance is still owed whether or not you keep using the program, and cancelling the card does not cancel what you owe.
Prices can change for future enrollments. Your price is the price you enrolled at.
Seven days, money back, no questions asked. If you enroll and decide within 7 days that this is not right for you, email [email protected] and we refund you in full. You do not have to explain yourself to anyone.
The 7 days start on the day your first payment goes through. Send the request from the email address you enrolled with so we can find you quickly. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually land within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
After day 7 the program is non-refundable. If you are on a payment plan, the remaining balance stays due. We do not prorate, and we do not refund because someone did not use what they bought. Seven days is enough time to open everything, look at it properly, and decide.
Everything we hand you is ours. The modules, the videos, the slides, the templates, the prompts, the call recordings, the worksheets, and the written material inside the community.
When you enroll you get a personal, non-transferable license to use those materials for your own career. That is the whole license.
You may not:
Breaking this ends your access without a refund, and we can pursue it legally.
The Her Tech Academy name and logo are ours. Do not use them in a way that suggests a partnership or an endorsement that does not exist.
Her Tech Academy is education and training. It is not legal, financial, tax, immigration, or licensed career counseling advice, and nothing on this website or inside the program should be treated as any of those.
For your own situation, talk to a qualified professional. Work authorization and visa questions in particular need an immigration attorney, not a course.
Your outcome depends on your background, your effort, the market you are in, and timing. We provide training and placement support, and final hiring decisions are made by employers. The full picture is in our disclaimers, and it is worth reading before you enroll rather than after.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Her Tech Academy, Malia Nawar, our staff, and our partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost income, lost opportunity, or lost data, arising out of this website, the program, or anything you do as a result of either.
Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you actually paid us.
Some provinces, states, and countries do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We run on other people's tools. Payments go through Stripe. The live training runs on WebinarJam. Scheduling runs on Calendly. Email and SMS run through GoHighLevel. Applications and surveys run on Typeform. Placement support is delivered together with partner agencies.
Each of those has its own terms and its own privacy policy, and your use of them is between you and them. We choose carefully, but we do not control them and we are not responsible for their service, their outages, or their handling of your data beyond what we describe in our privacy policy.
We also link to job boards, articles, and tools. A link is not an endorsement, and we do not control what sits on the other end of it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms, this website, or the program will be brought in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and we both agree to that venue.
Before anyone files anything, email us. Most problems are a misunderstanding and get sorted out in two messages.
Questions about these terms, a refund, or your enrollment go to [email protected]. You can also find us on Instagram at @hertechacademy, though anything about money or access should go to email so it is written down.
By using this website, registering for a training, or enrolling in the program, you confirm that you have read these terms, understood them, and agreed to them.
